In these photos, Artist SiouxBean presents images of his recent commission with Chef Billy Ngo of restaurant Kru. Kru was recently featured in Bon Appetite Magazine as the top dining spot in Sacramento. Chef Billy Ngo and Artist Siouxbean worked together in designing this series of Omakase (chef tasting) and nigiri plates. Artist SiouxBean makes custom plates with direct influences and collaboration from chefs, restaurant employees, and multiple artists. His functional work is presented as a series of sculptures, similar to screen prints. Each piece is marked with an individual and series number, as well as the name of each artist that collaborated in the making.
